DAY TWO: Subject study – Rhino

Inspiring original artworks in support of white rhino conservation at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya

The last two white rhinos are in the care of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. Their keepers watch over them during the day and put them to bed at night. I was able to view their movements, posture and gentle nature for such chunky individuals.

In honour of those caring for the animals, I have done several supporting artworks involving images of the rhinos and their keepers.

The Hill That Thinks in Black and White

Monday’s list said Butte aux Cailles, so naturally I went Sunday. A stencilled rat guarding a doorway, and Aydar’s flowering women watching the street from two walls of the thirteenth. All of it in black and white, which is to say, my language.
