Neither of them looks up. Neither of them poses. The whole scene is caught mid-effort, the way real work actually happens, and the black ink carries every bit of that weight. The technique matches the subject. Loose, confident brushwork lays down the figures in a handful of decisive strokes, then ink splatter flies off them like sweat and road dust.
