You Are Mine, and I Am Yours

You Are Mine and I Am Yours explores the profound bond that can exist between two beings—a connection built not on ownership, but on trust, devotion, and mutual understanding. The gentle interaction between horse and human captures a quiet moment of affection, where words are unnecessary and presence alone is enough.

Using expressive ink and flowing lines, I sought to emphasise the emotional connection rather than physical detail. The horse’s lowered head and the intimate closeness of the figures create a sense of safety, belonging, and unconditional acceptance. The title reflects the idea that true relationships are reciprocal; they are built through care, respect, and a willingness to trust one another completely.

At its heart, this work is a celebration of love, companionship, and the deep connections that enrich our lives and remind us that we are never truly alone.
