Gumtree Winds celebrates the quiet beauty of Australia’s native wildlife and the moments of stillness often overlooked in our busy lives. Perched calmly on a branch, the bird appears both watchful and at ease, embodying the delicate balance between awareness and peace that exists throughout the natural world.
Through expressive ink work and fluid brushstrokes, I sought to capture not only the physical form of the bird but also the feeling of a gentle breeze moving through the gum trees. The work invites viewers to slow down, listen, and reconnect with the simple rhythms of nature that continue around us every day.
